The animation is lively and colourful and the humour used will hold the attention of young children. The story lines are always lively and appealing to young children and can be used to encourage discussion after the programme.

Introducing new and relevant vocabulary though which children can learn to express their imagination and creativity more effectively can enhance language development. For example, try introducing the following words: 'imagine' 'surprise' 'amazing' 'adventure'. Try encouraging children to think creatively, for example, can children pretend that they have a pair of Wish Wellingtons and tell a story about what happens? Adults might like to take a turn at pretending they have William's Wish Wellingtons on and tell a story too!
