Cbeebies - Bits and bobs
Two puppets, called Bits and Bobs, and their wheeled machine, called Trog, set out to investigate the world.
Children are encouraged to answer questions posed by Bits and Bobs. For example, 'Do you know?' There are great opportunities for children to develop problem-solving skills whilst thinking through answers. More visual discrimination is encouraged when children are asked to think about what an object might be - when only shown part of it!
The programme has a secure, repetitive format that helps children understand what is required of them and allows them time to engage in the process. It also encourages children to actively respond rather than just sitting and passively viewing. Children can also sing along with Bobs and Bits and, once again, this is another programme where children are presented with learning opportunities through play and having fun!
Children can have lots of fun with Bits and Bobs' Character pages on the Cbeebies website.
There are two great games. Your children can sharpen their observation and memory skills with 'Snap' and they can have lots of fun finding things out with these two funny little fluffballs.
Children can send their friends and family an e-card.
They can also enjoy Bits and Bobs offline with pictures to print and colour in!
