Cbeebies - Bill and Ben

Bill and Ben is set in an outdoor environment and provides opportunities for children to find out about living and growing things, the weather and the seasons. During the early years children are developing the knowledge, skills and understanding that help them to make sense of the world in which they live. Curiosity and creativity can be encouraged through these programmes as children are motivated to think about the natural environment in the garden.

Bill and Ben is a clever revival of a very old favourite. Most grandparents, if not parents, will remember this from their own childhood. All the characters are there, with a few new additions. Humour plays a large part, and situations are character led - with Bill and Ben playing the part of tricksters - who sometimes come off worst! Parents/carers can follow-up the programmes by encouraging an interest in the environment-perhaps whilst out for a walk in a local park.
